Our commitment
Crossing Waters Network exists to help families and individuals find mental health and addiction treatment options across the United States. We believe access to accurate directory information should not depend on whether a facility can pay for placement.
Every facility in this directory is listed free of charge. We do not sell rankings, featured placement, or paid upgrades. Facilities are not required to pay to appear, remain listed, or update basic contact information sourced from public records.
Where our data comes from
Listing information is drawn primarily from the SAMHSA FindTreatment.gov treatment locator and related public federal sources. SAMHSA data is updated on a rolling basis as facilities report changes.
We display facility names, locations, phone numbers, websites when available, and service categories such as hospital inpatient, residential, and outpatient care where applicable.
What we do not do
- We do not provide medical advice, clinical recommendations, or emergency services.
- We do not guarantee bed availability, admission, insurance acceptance, or quality of care.
- We do not sell leads or referral fees to treatment providers.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for higher placement in search results or category pages.
Accuracy and updates
Public directory data can become outdated. Phone numbers, websites, and services may change without notice. Before making decisions, contact the facility directly to verify current services, admission criteria, and costs.
If you represent a facility and believe our listing contains an error, please contact us with the facility name, location, and corrected information. We review corrections in good faith but rely on verified public sources when possible.
Categories of care
Listings are organized by level of care, including but not limited to:
- Hospital Inpatient Mental Health — 24-hour hospital-based psychiatric care
- Residential Mental Health — 24-hour non-hospital residential treatment
- Outpatient Mental Health — outpatient and community-based services where included
A single organization may offer more than one level of care. We assign a primary category based on the highest-acuity service reported in the source data.
Crisis resources
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911.
For mental health or substance use crisis support:
- 988 — Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text)
- 1-800-662-4357 — SAMHSA National Helpline (free, confidential, 24/7)
Nonprofit status
Crossing Waters Network operates as a nonprofit organization dedicated to public access to treatment navigation resources. Donations and grants support site maintenance and content — they do not influence which facilities appear in the directory.
Disclaimer
This directory is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of qualified health providers with questions about a medical condition or treatment options.
How We Stay Free
Crossing Waters Network lists every facility free of charge. We do not sell placement, rankings, or leads.
Funding comes from donations and grants that support site maintenance and data updates — not from payments by listed facilities.
This keeps the directory independent and focused on helping families find treatment options, not on generating referral revenue.
If you represent a facility and have questions about our listing practices, or if you want to report outdated information, contact us at info@livingwaterrecovery.org
